Madison Wolf Signs to play professionally in Germany

Dublin, OH—Former University of Wisconsin-Green Bay post player Madison Wolf has signed to play the 2020-21 season with Towers Basketball Club of Speyer, Germany. Towers plays in Germany’s 2.Bundesliga, the second most competitive professional league for women in Germany.

The 6’4 center averaged 7.2 points and 6.8 rebounds this past season while playing 22 minutes per contest. This followed a similarly solid junior season that saw Wolf score 8.2 points and grab 7.1 rebounds per game.

When asked about the signing, Wolf commented, “I am very grateful to have the opportunity to continue my basketball career professionally as it has been a dream of mine since I was a child. I am excited to start this chapter of my life and embrace the new environment and culture. I am determined to bring the leadership qualities I have learned throughout college to this team so we can continually improve and become top contenders in the division. I could not have done it without the support of my family, friends, and former coaches and teammates.”

Wolf’s agent, Matthew C. Krejci, Esq., of MK Sports and Entertainment LLC (Dublin, OH) said, “Madison has been working hard to maintain peak physical condition this summer, and I know she will be ready when she arrives in Germany next month. Madison is going to have a tremendous year in the 2.Bundesliga and will make a lot of people take notice with her stellar play in the paint.”

Head Coach Julian Krieger of Towers said, “We’re very happy and excited to welcome Madison to our club and the city of Speyer. Madison is exactly the player we are looking for: team-oriented, great work ethic, and the potential to be an outstanding player in our league. We are convinced she will be a leader for our young, talented squad, and we will help her take her first steps as a professional player so she can grow on and off the court. Finally, we are proud we were able to sign a player from such a well respected collegiate program like Green Bay.”

Wolf obtained her Master’s Degree from UW-Green Bay in Applied Leadership for Teaching and Learning after receiving her undergraduate degree in Middle Childhood/Early Adolescent Education. Wolf is a native of Kohler, WI and attended Sheboygan North High School.
